Paolo “POL” Polloniato

“To me, ceramic is the metamorphosis of form according to time and space I’m related to”.

Paolo was born in 1979 in Nove, one of the most important ceramic district in Italy. He comes from a historical family of craftsmen, linked to ceramic tradition for two centuries.
His research can range from a material to another according to the intended project and its purpose. Since 2008 contemporary ceramic has become his fundamental field of research, developing and revisiting pictorial decorations and manipulating moulds of various historic manufactures, in order to create sculptures and conceptual installations in which each story relates to the present, creating new scenarios.
“Pol” now lives and works between Brussels, Paris and Nove.
